PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
 
To carry out social audit and related certification services offered under any accredited and non-accredited program held by SGS. It covers activities from the allocation of work to the completion of the Audit Package as per accreditation standard, scheme owner and customer’s requirement.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • To perform assessment, audit and gap verification in accordance with various social audits, customer’s global sustainability standard or social management system requirements. He/She is required to carry out audit/assessment services in a professional manner
  • To comply with global social compliance (including SAS protocol) as well as client’s procedure / requirement.
  • To meet reporting KPI as defined in both, client and SGS Global procedure
  • To carry out the role as lead auditor or auditor effectively as per ISO 19011 guidelines and international "social compliance" policies, standards, and Codes of Conduct.
  • Maintain and improve own social auditing skills and knowledge as part of continuous professional development (CPD) where appropriate.
  • To establish and develop an effective quality partnership with clients with the aim of exceeding client satisfaction.
  • Support the business development of the social audit and training service of SGS by referring leads to SGS Sales & Marketing team
  • To support and provide training services based on SGS Yearly Training Calendar as well as in-house training programs.
  • Other responsibilities as specified from time to time.
     
    PROFILE 
  • Diploma/Degree in any industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience
  • Completed a Lead auditor training or recognized auditor training course
  • Knowledge on applicable regulatory and statutory standards and compliances.
  • Industry knowledge such as Food, Sheet Metal, Rubber, Plastic, Fabrication,Textile/Garment, Machining, Electrical or Electronic industries.
  • [Note: Specific and other necessary skills needed for particular standard auditor shall refer to SGS GSP and related GPP procedures]
 
REQUIRED SKILLS
 
  • High level interpersonal skills with the proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels within a client/s organisation and SGS.
  • Customer focused orientated person with excellent good auditor’s attributes.
  • Proven negotiation skills to be able to negotiate technical issues when dealing with the client organisation's management in relation to assessment findings.
  • Excellent and effective presentation and written communication skills.
  • Good IT skills, conversant with basic packages including MS Word, the Internet, and e-mail.
  • An active, self motivated and organised person.
  • Good command of English and National language. Fluent in other local dialects is an added advantage.
  • Ability to travel and a valid driving licence.
