  • Develop and build excellent relationships with key customers within target accounts which increase sales and market share growth in line with expectations
  • Produce specific account growth plans detailing actions and resources
  • Seek and sign-up training organisations to support in the delivery of programmes outside of traditional course offerings, to widen our portfolio and provide comprehensive managed learning services to our clients
  • Ensure that clients are gaining the highest value from their SGS Academy service by understanding the full extent of their training requirements, and how training is procured within their business
  • Liaise with senior management, Academy team and wider sales teams to adopt a harmonised approach UK-wide for SGS key clients
  • To work with subject matter experts and course development managers to tailor or create courses to fulfil specific client objectives
  • To seek and develop new relationships with large scale organisations in the UK
    Key Accountabilities
  • The main element will be establishing new business for the SGS Academy from proactive activity
  • Ensure that a new sales benchmark is achieved by through new and creative business development initiatives
  • Work closely with client contacts, exploring and scoping future needs by leveraging the Academy to support individuals and teams in your dedicated business areas
  • Undertake the relevant steps to ensure an accurate proposal covering the customer requirements is issued
  • Raise accurate framework agreements for large scale organisations in a timely manner that meet high levels of customer and quality expectations
  • Use the current CRM system to record all sales activities, ensuring the information is centrally documented and accessible
  • Work with the administration team to ensure courses are scheduled within the timeframe indicated by the customer

  • Business development or account management experience within managed learning services or commercial training
  • Demonstrated skill in working with different levels & types of customer groups and influencing key decision makers
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to segment & prioritise accounts and customers based on business potential, focusing contact/frequency accordingly
  • Able to use consultative selling to identify and build customer needs, tailoring messages to the customer to enable them to make informed decisions on their internal competency frameworks
  • Identify key customers within accounts and clarify individual influences on buying decisions, tailoring solutions to meet the specific needs of each party.
  • You know how to build true partnerships. You are someone who doesn’t just take orders- you explore, challenge and do what’s right for the business
  • Extremely professional and polished written and presentation skills
  • Minimum of secondary level education with grade A-C passes levels in English & Maths (or equivalent)
