Primary Responsibilities 

  • Assists in the implementation of the Security Mission i.e.,  – to protect our people, locations, equipment, funds, intellectual property, in partnership with business and support functions throughout the company
  • Analyzes Corporate Security cases/referrals basedon guidelines, processes, performance standards set by the Global CorporateSecurity team
  • Assists the Corporate Security Supervisor in identifying Corporate Security risk areas and investigation of cases and ensures the collected data are relevant and accurate
  • Assists the Corporate Security Supervisor inmanaging these cases/referrals from initial inquiry or initial receipt toarchiving; including sending the appropriate communications to SGS affiliates(e.g. Legal Notices) and coordinating data collection/investigation efforts(e.g. face certificate verification/validation) within the protocols set by theGlobal Corporate Security team
  • Ensures Corporate Security data, findings andreports are collected and done accurately and dealt with utmost confidentiality
  • Creates reports or assists in creation of CorporateSecurity reports in an accurate and timely manner within the performancestandards set by the Global Corporate Security team
  • Assists the Corporate Security Supervisor inestablishing and maintaining processes of the Corporate Security team
 

Specific Responsibilities

 
  • Conducts comprehensive investigation and evaluation of files, and provide trend analysis
  • Ensures all Corporate Security data managed by the Manila team are correct and up to date, including lists, reports, and databases.   Ensures the integrity, security and confidentiality of these data are strictly maintained.
  • Manages the referrals received from the Certificates mailbox or via a Security Incident Report (SIR) based on Global Corporate Security guidelines and processes.  Difficult or ambiguous or highly sensitive cases should be brought to the attention of the Corporate Security Supervisor
  • Provides timely and effective responses to the enquirers and the network in relation to inquiries concerning the authenticity of SGS certificates
  • Check suspected counterfeits with the originating business (the respective Managing Director) for confirmation of authenticity of SGS certificates; coordinates data collection efforts when necessary again based
  • Checks the SGS Directory of Certified Clients to confirm the authenticity of SGS certificates, where possible.
  • Promptly escalates  to the Corporate Security Supervisor serious matters that require immediate attention / investigation
  • In the event that received intelligence information requires immediate action, ensures that the relevant Offices are immediately warned in writing, with the concerned Managing Director in copy, about a specific act of fraud (within Global Corporate
  • Assists in the development and update of training materials and training processes for the team
  • Assists in the development and update of Quality documentation and the maintenance of the Quality Management System by providing feedback
  • Interacts with other members of the Team he/she belongs in the attainment of the team’s objective
  • Actively attends and participates in team and company meetings/assemblies
  • Provides suggestions on process improvements.
  • Reports to Management any breach of integrity, solicitation for, or offer of, an improper payment or advantage coming to his/her knowledge.
  • Performs duties or other responsibilities which may be assigned by the Management
Profile
  • University degree or equivalent professional qualification
  • Experienced in Corporate Security, Risk Management and Analysis, or Risk Profiling
 
Required Skills
Experience /Technical knowledge
  • At least two years experience in SGS operations, preferably as a Risk Analyst or Product Conformity Analyst or equivalent experience related to Corporate Security, Risk Management and Analysis or Risk Profiling
  • Good track record in handling sensitive and confidential transactions
  • Good background in international trade
  • Very good communication and presentation skills
  • Computer literate and knowledgeable in Office Windows applications
  • Decisive, Assertive and Results Oriented
  • Detail-oriented
  • Can easily see trends/relationships in data
  • Can work on extended hours and/or different work shifts whenever necessary
  • Trustworthy and can work according to the SGS standards of ethics and integrity
 
Languages
  • Fluent in oral and written English
  • Fluency in other languages (i.e. French, Spanish, Chinese) an advantage
