Job Title: Customer Service Apprentice

Job Type: Apprenticeship

Hours:  37.5 hours per week

Job Location: Oldbury

Salary: £12,870 per annum

 

As a Customer Service Apprentice, you will be responsible for supporting the regional operational offices in achieving sales growth/business targets by handling requests for change proposals for existing clients in a timely manner. You will report into the Customer Service Manager and therefore follow their instruction, to ensure that the daily allocated work is completed accurately and on time.

 

In your role, you will prepare documents, in line with requests from regional operations, following any instructions provided and the most recently approved (current) documents, where necessary clarifying information provided. Using the information provided calculate the required man-days and create the relevant justifications, taking into consideration any guidance provided by the regional office.

 

You will also submit the documents prepared to the relevant daily approver, or specialised product approver, and respond appropriately in a timely manner to any queries raised, including any revisions required to the documents. Following approval of the documents finalise any data required for the client proposal and prepare the proposal template, submitting it to the relevant regional office along with the required follow up action.


Your role will require you to assist with the preparation of estimates and informal quotes to ensure the estimate is as accurate as possible and to co-ordinate with operations personnel to ensure that proposals are deliverable and priced appropriately whilst being competitive and taking account of both customer and technical requirements.


Finally, you will always ensure excellent customer service is provided from the first point of contact with all regional teams via all communication methods in order to achieve a positive resolution.

YOUR PROFILE
 
Essential 
  • Numerically competent with good attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of an organisation
  • Ability to handle and interpret complex information
  • Ability to work under own initiative to achieve assigned tasks
  • Minimum of secondary level education or equivalent with minimum A to C pass levels in English & Maths
Desirable 

  • Previous experience in a customer services (internal or external) / sales environment
  • Previous experience of working in a highly procedural environment
  • Educated to A-Level standard.
