Job Title: Driver

Job Type: Casual Contract (Ad-hoc)

Job Location: Avonmouth

Salary: £10 per hour


As a Driver you will be responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of samples and equipment to and from various locations in the UK to meet immediate branch and client requirements. You will collect and deliver samples and equipment in a timely manner as directed by managers so that timescales for despatches and deliveries are met.


Your role will also include packing samples into the correct packaging or transport boxes with the appropriate cushioning and absorbent materials so that samples arrive safely and undamaged at their end destination. You’ll also act as a frequent “first point of contact” between SGS and our clients, and therefore duties shall be performed in a helpful and courteous manner to present a professional image of the company.

  • Experience of working as part of a team to meet deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Geographical understanding of the relevant work areas and the appropriate client site rules and regulations.
  • Understands the principles of sound, safe packaging requirements.
  • Full valid driving licence for driving in the UK.


  • Current ADR Certificate.
