SUMMARY

Assists project manager by preparing, auditing, examining and performing inspection of Electrical &Instrumentation Installation and procedures. 

 
JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Serves and schedules inspections and examines as required by project team, owner or client.
  • Monitor and review the implementation of the EPC Contractor’s site quality management system
  • Set and prepare project quality audit schedules and conduct project quality auditing. Provides technical assistance to project management in selecting optimum construction procedures and/or techniques to meet project specifications.
  • Delivers technical assistance to project management regarding the selection of tools, instruments, and test equipment to implement or remove in the project quality control.
  • Arrange and Conduct drawing audits on field drawings to ensure that the drawings being used are the most current revision.
  • Enhances quality performance and exceeds expectations across the project through audits and surveillance.
  • Coordinates examination, inspection, and test plans with project management and client representatives.
  • Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required:
  • Certification as an Inspector
  • Minimum 20 years of experience (Quality Assurance / Quality Control in testing, installation of electrical and instrumentation equipment)
Preferred:
  • Associate in Quality Assurance / Quality Control Testing.
 
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS

NCCER Accreditation in technical electrical or instrumentation
TWIC Card Required
 
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
  • Language Skills: English Advanced
  • Mathematical Skills: Advanced/Highest level of knowledge required
  • Reasoning Skills/Abilities: Advanced level required
  • Computer Skills: Provide details, designate a level of expertise required/preferred.
  • Strong recognition of industry codes and standards related to Electrical and Instrumentation installation and testing
  • Able to use Microsoft Office to prepare reports and document procedures
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with project management, supervision and client relations
  • Health, Safety and Environment awareness and commitment
