A day in the life of a Human Resources Business Partner at SGS Canada:

• HR point of contact with the business for specific client groups for all HR related matters.
• Provide recommendations and input into Human Resources Strategies that are aligned with Corporate Vision and Values, and HR Business Plans. Prepares, implements and monitors action plans to achieve these objectives such as Training & Development, Performance Evaluations, Succession Planning, Compensation reviews, and Policy creation
• Partner with business clients to provide strategic and tactical guidance/direction on all employee relations issues.
• Provide support and assistance to the Human Resources Manager/Director on ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives within areas of specialization i.e.: labour relations, compensation and talent management

Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor Degree, Human Resources, Labour Relations or Business Administration, CHRP Designation or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience: Over 10 years experience in Human Resource Business Partnering or over 10 years experience in Labour Relations at senior level including negotiations.
• Extensive knowledge of Provincial Legislation, Employment Standards Act, Labour Relations Act,:
• Advanced leadership skills necessary to motivate, coach, develop, evaluate, facilitate and resolve conflicts
• Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment.
• Advanced knowledge of employee/labour relations.
• Ability to work well with others & independently.
