Summary


The IT Business Analyst, MIN as the part of the North America regional Minerals G6 SLIMS deployment team, working in close collaboration with the Business and regional operations to implement and deploy the G6 LIMS solution across the network of Mineral SGS laboratories in North America.


 Responsibilities


         Bridges business system requirements from the end user to functional implementation of technical solutions.


         Manages technical requests and produces analysis and designs documentation for updates / enhancements to existing applications.


         Utilizes the G6 platform to rollout a NAM Minerals LIMS solution for the business, and handles the implementation;


         Advises on methods of data interpretation, creates business schemes by translating technical methods used by Minerals laboratories into solution requirements.


         Participates in the evaluation, definition of requirements, setup and testing new functionalities.


         Collects, organizes and documents laboratory information based on information received from site questionnaires.


         Configures, performs setting up and transitioning a functional solution to production based on specific site requirements.


         Configures G6 LIMS environments for training, test and production in Minerals laboratories.


         Creates and completes site setup documentation.


         Works with global G6 team members to deliver report / personalization of the application, provides support for instrument interfaces / integration.


         Supports activities related to the setup and performs handover after the solution deployment.


         Collaborates with the Operations team for any global technical activities.


         Participates in definition, development, testing and implementation of G6 LIMS product enhancements.


         Participates in the development and continuous improvement of implementation tools and processes.


         Continually reviews best practices and identifies ways to implement ongoing Lab process changes.


         Documents technical issues and contributes to their resolution.


         Provides initial post Go-Live (hyper care) support to users before handover to the G6 LIMS Support team.


         Collaborates with the US IT department for local technical issues.


         Provides Functional training to local Super Users and supports them during training delivery to end-users.


         Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures.


         Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications


         Bachelor’s degree


         3 - 5 years of experience as business analyst working on medium to high complexity projects


         Experience as a liaison between business and technical teams


OR equivalent combination of education and experience


 


Preferred


         Bachelor’s degree in a Scientific Chemistry, or Information Technology, or Computer Science, or Engineering


         At least three (3) years’ experience in implementing / supporting LIMS solutions, including at least 2 full life cycle implementations (preferably in a global context) in small to medium size laboratories


         International and multi-cultural experience


         Proven experience documenting functional and non-functional requirements


         Project management experience


         Experience with report writing tools
