Hiring for Lab Chemist / Senior Chemist – Oil, Gas and Petrochemicals

 

Job Location:

  • Mumbai

Key Purpose:

 

The Title Holder will be responsible for analysis of Samples as required by Standards & Methods

 

Required Skills:

  • To plan understand & complete the allocated work in a stipulated time with accuracy & precision strictly as per relevant Standard Operating Procedure / s in co-ordination with Technical Executive.                                            
  •  Effectively monitor chemist workbook & other quality system documents up to date and written in a specific approved manner / formats.
  •  Effectively monitor the consumption of chemicals / glass wares / standards as per the testing requirements.                                                                                                
  •  To keep all ASTM files/IS files, workbook, reagent bottles, glass apparatus instruments & all Objects related to their day to day work within lab premises in a place reserved for them.
  • Have good technical knowledge of all ASTM procedures and operation of sophisticated Instruments like gas Chromatography, ICP, HPLC., and Analyzers
  • Should be independently handle the trouble shooting of instruments with coordinating with service engineer.
  • To calibrate the instruments (internal calibration) & maintain the record with a countersign of Technical Executive or QAC at specified frequency (includes the instruments at our other terminal labs also). 
  • Maintain confidentiality & transparency by observing code of conduct.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough records of laboratory procedures and results; ensure compliance.
  • Assess laboratory equipment needs and train laboratory personnel in new equipment operation.
  • Assist the Laboratory Manager in coordinating the activities and operations of the laboratory and work allocation to lower level staff.
  • Review of test methods consistently to have control over all updated test methods.          
 

Other Job Responsibilities:

  • Course pack evaluation and submission on timely basis
  • Responding to technical queries.
  • Courseware development for customized courses when not training.
  • Candidate should be competent enough to independently handle training immediately. And must be willing to travel extensively. 

Qualification:
 
  • Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in chemistry or a related field.
