A day in the life of a Line Handler:

• Tie up and release ships.
• Visually inspect the ship to be involved in the upcoming transfer to ensure that the ship is mechanically sound and there is no defective equipment before the loading or unloading process begins.
• Check the ship for the last product contained.
• Disconnect loading arm/hose and inspect for any leaks prior to releasing the ship.
• This position will be required to wear a CSA Approved Life Jackets for the job.
• May be assigned and coordinate special or ad hoc projects as needed.
Ideal Candidate:

• High School diploma is required
• This is a part time/on call position. Call can vary from week to week
• Work off of a 3-hour minimum per call and calls come at all hours.
• Callout notice is given 2 hours before worker is required to be on site.
• Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
• Job tasks include prepping work area; mooring and unmooring
vessels, assist in landing gangways and connecting/disconnecting
cargo hoses.
• We need people fully respectful of our HSE policies which are key indicator of performance.
