SGS Life Science Services carries out all type of services for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, from coordination and running of clinical trials with new molecules or techniques on human beings, to support and consultancy on post marketing registration activities. SGS Life Science Services has also expertise in the quality control of pharmaceuticals.

For the moment, we are seeking candidates for the following position (m/f):

Medical Affairs Assistant - Mechelen

The main responsibility of the Medical Affairs Assistant (MAAs) is to assist the Medical Affairs department with project related and/or general administrative work.

Job description:

• Administrative support towards the Medical Affairs project teams, including:
o Maintain oversight on the receipt of safety information (Serious Adverse Events, Adverse Drug Reactions, Pregnancy information, etc) through the different team email and fax inboxes
o Data entry of safety information into the SGS or client safety database
o Creation of reports from the safety database
o Submission of safety information towards investigators, ethics committees and health authorities
o Maintain tracking on the status of the different documents being processed in the team
o Quality control of documents prepared within the department
o Create Medical Affairs Project Files
o Filing of all appropriate documentation electronically and/ or on paper
o Archiving of closed projects
• Attend team meetings and write meeting minutes and/or reports
• Assist the medical affairs department with all other administrative tasks (faxing, sending to the courier, writing letters, filing, archiving, etc…)
• Assist in the management of the team quality system
• Translations of hospital reports into English if needed

You have a degree in Business Administration and Languages, Office Management or equivalent through experience
You are fluent in English and Dutch
You have excellent computer skills (MS Office): Word, Excel, Powerpoint, …
You are accurate, with an eye for detail
You are flexible
You are a team player
You have a sense of structure, organization, precision, diplomacy, integrity.
