A day in the life of a LIMS Super user at SGS Canada:

  •  Work with users, developers and technical resources to implement enhancements. 
  • Provide front-line end user support for LIMS and other E, H&S software. 
  • Provide ongoing training sessions for LIMS and other E, H&S software. 
  • Assisting with hardware connectivity to the LIMS system. 
  • Produce/maintain training materials and system documentation. 
  • Assist with supporting various laboratory processes and Quality Control initiatives. 
  • Possibility of being assigned as a resource for projects. 
  • Possibility of being assigned and coordinate special or ad hoc projects as needed
Ideal Candidate:
  • Post-secondary education in Science, Computer Science or a related field is an asset 
  • A minimum of 2-5 years experience programing is an asset; Laboratory experience is an asset 
  • Previous experience with computer programming and databases is an asset. 
  • Excellent understanding of LIMS applications and procedures. 
  • Solid understanding of various lab procedures and general knowledge of instrumentation. 
  • Demonstrates excellent English verbal and written communication skills including grammar and composition. 
  • Ensures full compliance with the company’s Health & Safety, Code of Integrity.
