Primary Responsibilities 
  • Preparation, development and implementation of B2B Pay-per-click (PPC) strategies in close collaboration with SGS business units to promote SGS  business-related web pages, and websites, and to increase traffic, generate business leads and conversions/ROI according to the business objectives
  • Give technical and business inputs to the SGS.COM Geneva Team in terms of streamlining business and web processes, and updating methodologies
  • Give technical and business inputs to the SGS.COM Technical Development Team in terms of software application performance and continuous improvements.
 
Specific Responsibilities
  • Prepare and setup Pay-per-click (PPC) proposals for SGS business units mainly on the Google Adwords platform and other main paid search platforms including:
    • Keyword research and analysis
    • Ad copy writing and testing
    • Landing page analysis and testing
    • Campaign organization and competitive analysis
    • Conversion/ROI analysis
  • Provide ongoing management of new and existing PPC campaigns including monitoring, reporting, analysis and optimisation recommendations
  • Clearly convey and explain PPC best practices to SGS business units on the basis of their goals and expectations
  • Test and offer new PPC strategies tailored to the needs of the business unit’s current campaign within Google Adwords and other major paid search platforms to maximize results month in and month out
  • Collaborate with the Web Content Publishers’ team in Manila for the implementation of optimisation recommendations (copy) on the web sites
  • Work in partnership with the Search Engine Optimisation/Search Engine Marketing Specialists on landing page optimisation and ad copy optimisation
  • Create/update landing pages using the Content Management Systems (Livelink, Adobe Contribute)
  • Create and manage web-based HTML PPC Reports
  • Ensure compliance of all landing pages (for SGS.Com corporate and SGS business units) to Search Engine Rules, Guidelines and Best Practices, SGS’s Publication Standards and Web Usability Guidelines
  • Provide web analytics reports and analysis on paid search conversions and tracking using Web Trends to the SGS business units on request
  • Performs testing and analysis on new web applications and tools
  • Contribute to the development of Search Marketing best practices and work processes for the teams 
  • Assist in the maintenance of the Quality Management System
Profile
  • University graduate in Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Information Technology, Computer Science, Social Sciences
  • Possesses in-depth understanding of Pay-Per-Click (PPC) campaign management and optimization practices
  • IT literate with extensive experience in internet
 
Required Skills
Experience/Technical Knowledge
  • Proven success in managing PPC campaigns in Google Adwords for a large company for at least 2+ years
  • Working knowledge on HTML, web usability principles, best practices and a solid understanding of the user experience and efficient information structure
  • Excellent updated knowledge of the Google AdWords platform functionalities
  • Knowledge of other paid search platforms an advantage
  • Use of Web Analytics software/tools and Content Management Systems
  • Use of Adobe Dreamweaver and other related web development tools
  • Technology and Team-spirit oriented
  • Solid interpersonal and written communications skills as well as a collaborative approach at all levels
  • Ability to work independently under pressure, managing several projects simultaneously and setting priorities with minimal supervision
  • Possesses excellent analytical ability to extract insight from data and plan next steps
  • Displays understanding of business concepts and client objectives in order to identify campaign expansion opportunities
  • Displays organizational capabilities to track progress, execution and consistency of campaigns
  • Willingness and ability to build strong working relationships with team members at a global level
  • A quick learner, able to grasp new concepts, understand requirements and translate knowledge into practical ability
  • Able to follow procedure, manage workload, prioritise and produce high quality results first time
  • Work to full scope of the role using personal motivation, common sense and a desire for continued improvement
 
Language
  • Excellent command of English (written, speaking)
  • Any other additional language, other than Filipino, such as Asian or Latin languages is an advantage
