Job Title: PPE Auditor

Job Type: Permanent

Hours:  37.5 per week

Job Location: Flexible across the UK

Company car provided

Travel required: Yes – 75 % of the time

 

As a PPE Auditor you will be responsible for for planning and conducting professional management system audits in accordance SGS’ procedures to enable delivery of assessment and certification services that meet customer requirements and appropriate accreditation standards 

You’ll Conduct audits (desk-based or on client’s sites) in accordance with PPE and ISO 9001 management systems standards, and will provide specific technical support to expand the Company’s capability to offer valued services to customers.

 

You need to maintain a high standard of service delivery that ensures effective customer relationships and ongoing business development, and complete all chargeable work within the required budget and timeframes to ensure customer satisfaction and efficiency of the business, providing accurate and timely reporting to assist the planning and management of operations.

 

As a PPE Auditor you’ll receive a salary between £30,000 - £42,000 per annum (depending on experience), a company car, plus you’ll benefit from a 10% performance bonus, retail discount scheme, private health cover, contributory pension scheme and life cover.

YOUR PROFILE

 

 

 

The successful candidate will have experience in positions with significant PPE management system responsibility, and will demonstrate excellent working knowledge of PPE and ISO 9001 management systems standards, compliance and auditing techniques.

 

 

 

You will be an experienced auditor of the PPE Directive 89/686/EEC Article 11B System for ensuring EC quality of production by means of monitoring and Article 11A EC quality control system for the final product covering clothing, respiratory filter devices, diving and breathing apparatus, fall and arrest systems, you will also need to be an approved auditor for EA Codes 04,05,14,17.

 

 

 

The ideal candidate will have completed a recognized QMS/PPE Lead Auditor qualification, and qualified to the latest version of the standard.

 

 

 

This is a regional role covering the UK, with occasional international travel. and will involve a combination of office, client site and home working, therefore the successful candidate must hold a full driving license and will be flexible to travel with the occasional overnight stay.
