A day in the life of QA Document Control Administrator at SGS Canada:

 
  • For each sample tested:
    • Ensure the data package is complete
    • Scan the full data package including the CofA, raw data, ALS, SSF and client communication/s.
    • Archive the entire data package for each sample by placing it in a sequentially labeled folder.
    • Provide a copy of the CofA and the Client PO to the Finance Department
  • Mail the original raw data to the specified clients
  • Develop and maintains good working relationship with clients.
  • Review e-mail box for timely response to clients.
  • Control electronic records of documents.
  • Archive the CofA’s, lab books and log books as needed.
  • Issue and prepare logbooks for the QC and Microbiology labs.
  • Ensure compliance with the company's Record Retention Policy and requlatory requirements.
  • Assure provision for signing out COA folders when removed from archive room.
  • Ensure conformance with internal standards, procedures and codes.
Education, Skills and Experience
  • A B.Sc. in science related fields
  • Experience minimum of one year in an administrative or technical role. 
  • A detailed oriented document control professional, who will do everything to make sure document control principles are adhered to.
  • Prior technical experience in a chemistry related role would be preferred.
  • Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions / Standard Operating Procedures in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
  • Candidates must be proficient in using various type of computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.) and be able to demonstrate good keyboarding skills
  • Must be highly organized and able to work effectively and efficiently in a demanding environment with frequently changing priorities.
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills including grammar and composition.
