Job Title: Auditor

Job Type: Permanent

Hours:  37.5 per week

Job Location: Field based – North West England

Company car provided

Travel required: Yes – 75 % of the time


As an Auditor you will be responsible for planning and conducting professional management system audits in accordance SGS’ procedures to enable delivery of assessment and certification services that meet customer requirements and appropriate accreditation standards 

You’ll Conduct audits (desk-based or on client’s sites) in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14000 and OHSAS 18001 management systems standards, and will provide specific technical support to expand the Company’s capability to offer valued services to customers.


You need to maintain a high standard of service delivery that ensures effective customer relationships and ongoing business development, and complete all chargeable work within the required budget and timeframes to ensure customer satisfaction and efficiency of the business, providing accurate and timely reporting to assist the planning and management of operations.


As an Auditor you’ll receive a salary between £35,000 and £43,000 per annum (depending on experience), a company car, plus you’ll benefit from a 10% performance bonus, retail discount scheme, private health cover, contributory pension scheme and life cover.

The successful candidate will have experience in positions with significant quality and environmental management system responsibility, and will demonstrate excellent working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14000 and OHSAS 18001 management systems standards, compliance and auditing techniques. You will ideally have a working background in waste management, manufacturing or construction industry.


The ideal candidate will have completed a recognized Quality / Environmental / Health & Safety Lead Auditor qualification, and qualified to the latest version of the standard.


This is a regional role covering the North West of England, and will involve a combination of office, client site and home working, therefore the successful candidate must hold a full driving license and will be flexible to travel with the occasional overnight stay.
