PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for organizing the day-to-day activities of the Fuel marking Project.

  • This position report to Director
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for monitoring and performing product marking and verification of quantity of product to be marked in accordance with company standards, legal and client requirements
  • Performs various administrative duties. These include but are not limited to training assigned Fuel Markers, correcting Fuel Marker’s performance of technical tasks, assigning and delegating work
  • Monitoring staff compliance to work standards, recommending on the quality and quantity of staffing requirements for his/her unit.
  • Performs supervisory functions.
  • Assists in ensuring implementation of his/her unit’s quality management systems
  • Addressing SIRs raised.
  • Performs technical jobs in the absences of the subordinates
  • Reviews and approves reports related to his/her unit.
 
  • Ensures compliance to the Group and national policies including but not limited to the maintenance of the Quality Management System
  • Operating to the highest standards of ethics, in accordance with the SGS Code of Integrity.
 
  • Performs other related duties as may be assigned either in support of departmental goal or for his/her personal or professional training, education or development as programmed by his/her immediate superior.

    • Complies with the QHSE policies including but not limited to:
    • Demonstrates strong commitment to SGS HSE Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions by participating in safety meetings, completing required training, intervening in unsafe situations, refusing unsafe work, and complying fully with all applicable laws and regulations related to HSE.

       
    • Responds appropriately to emergency situations and assists other staff members in maintaining readiness to respond to emergencies within the workplace.

       
    • In accordance with the SGS HSE Management System requirements, disposes of, or directs the disposal of, waste generated as a part of daily work performed in a safe manner and in compliance with all waste transportation and disposal regulations and requirements.

       
    • Reports all incidents (actual incidents and near misses) in accordance with the SGS Incident Reporting requirements.

       
    • Uses all equipment (including safety equipment) in the manner intended and reports any damaged / lost equipment to supervisor.

       
    • Maintain a safe and tidy worksite.

       
    • Maintains awareness of hazards and proposes controls to supervisor, HSE Representatives or relevant client / site contact.

       
    • Actively participates in incident investigations and risk assessments as deemed necessary by SGS management.


PROFILE
 
 
  • Education: College graduate (any Engineering  Course)

  • Experience: 3 years related technical experience (preferably with leadership role: Supervisory or Team Lead)


 
 

REQUIRED SKILLS

 
 
 
  • Has the ability to make professional judgements, with strong analytical skills, problem-solving skills

  • Could handle time management since work involves considerable demands from extremely tight deadlines to distressing human and/or work situations.

  • Has the ability to work with various cross-cultural people.

  • Machines, tools, instruments, equipment in use require basic coordination and/or operating knowledge and skill.
  • Is keen on understanding significance of deviations found with regard to the normal use of the products or processes concerned
  • Has the ability to make professional judgement as to the conformity with general requirements using examination results and to report there on
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients and or regulatory agencies pertaining to the activities associated with the inspection services carried out and in recommending remedial or action items for improvements, as needed
  • Office system applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Word or any related desktop applications
 
Language
  • Fluent in English (both written and verbal)
