Job Summary:
Define the sales strategy and tactical execution plans for the advisory services business by working with the Business Sector Managers to identify new markets, opportunities and solutions in the Cannabis, Pharma, Personal Care, Cosmetics and Food industries.  
Properly and professionally interact with potential clients and prospects to determine needs and recommend the most appropriate products or services out of the company’s portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for all sales activities, from lead generation through close, in the US and Canada for consulting and advisory services; including turn-key solutions, full program implementation, customized training, technical support and 2nd and 3rd party auditing.
  • Establish a robust pipeline of leads with high conversion rates
  • Achieve sales targets and ensure all sales activities related to clients and prospects is managed in the CRM.
  • Maintain and manage a portfolio of clients requiring advisory services – leading and managing consulting teams to ensure projects are delivered and ongoing opportunities and services are identified.
  • Deliver, support and lead consulting projects and assignments to drive business and achieve timely and cost-effective delivery of services against agreed budgets and timescales. Work with assigned CSA (Customer Service Advisor) to ensure all project timelines are on track and targets and KPIs are met and exceed customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain and develop knowledge and understanding of current measurement technologies, standards, and legislation to ensure consistently high standards of technical consultancy are achieved.
  • Provide commercial support to the department including input to tenders and project/contract co-ordination. 
  • Leverage existing client base to effectively grow the account and upsell advisory services

Education and Required Skills:
  • Bachelors degree in related discipline AND minimum 10 years of experience in advisory services consulting and/or solution oriented sales and business development. 
  • Ability to network and foster relationships to grow key accounts and expand the sales pipeline.
  • Excellent experience in selling “solutions” and / or service type products within a B2B environment at a high level within organizations.
  • A sense of diplomacy and networking skills are essential to build relationships with external clients as well as key internal personnel
  • Proficient in using various types of computer software (Word, Excel. PowerPoint, Outlook etc.).
  • Demonstrates ability to think strategically about complex projects and to develop recommendations and action plans, with excellent analytical and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to write clear, precise and detailed proposals
