1.  MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

In conjunction with the business strategy set by the CBE Business Manager and Operations Manager, grow all Certification Services, Performance Assessments, 2nd Party Audits and Training, including Food and Risk Intelligence services pro-actively and re-actively, selling and promoting the product ranges on offer, to all industry sectors in South Africa, with the prime objectives of meeting the divisional budget by obtaining new clients and growing the portfolio of existing clients. This will be achieved by compliance to all relevant SOP’s.

2.  SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform all duties in accordance with the SGS Statement of Integrity.
• Compliance to all relevant SGS CBE South Africa operational quality policies and procedures.
• Compliance to all relevant CBE SOP’s.
• Familiarization with audit and certification processes and practices.
• Conduct documented sales planning as per KPI’s targets set by CBE Business Manager.
• Implement the divisional Sales Plan, supported by KPI’s.
• Promoting certification related training and safety, health, environmental and quality compliance training courses.
• Focus on the skills development needs of customers with a specific drive to sign training service level agreements.
• Ensure targets for proposals, client’s visits, sales of new clients and sales revenue for CBE are achieved.
• Proposal follow-up on all proposals in accordance with divisional Sales policies and procedures.
• Becoming familiar and conversant with Sales Prospecting as per the SGS CBE policies and procedures.
• Being able to conduct a contract review and implement proposal requirements defined in specific CBE SOPs.
• The correct identification of EAC and NACE codes for the correct provision of CBE to meet client requirements.
• Appropriate use and handling of Client Data/Proposal/Service Offer Worksheets.
• Adhere to all quality and safety requirements of the SGS management system.
• Monthly Sales Report.
• Follow up on Sales Needs Analysis.
• Target growth on the different industry sectors to increase industry mix.
• Promote the image, capability and integrity of SGS to our clients.
• Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by direct line manager.

3.  SPECIFIC AUTHORITIES

• Cease the use of any equipment that may be deemed to constitute a safety hazard or enter hazardous environments without the necessary knowledge and protection and report the situation to higher authority to take action.
• Cease to carry on with work that may affect the quality (integrity) of services and report the situation to higher authority to take action.
• Initiate a formal improvement request when a deviation of the system occurs, possible improvements are identified or when nonconformity is identified.
4.  QUALIFICATIONS

4.1.  Education

• College Diploma/Degree in Sales advantageous.
• 5 years Sales experience, with good industry knowledge and experience.
• Certification and management systems implementation and auditing background not essential but would be beneficial to individual and to the team.

4.2.  Experience

• Able to realize business opportunities in line with the business strategy.
• Proven sales track record.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Client and supplier liaison experience.
• Experience in following and achieving KPI objectives.
• Able to work under pressure.
