JOB SUMMARY

The E&E Sales Manager will be responsible for a sales team that is focused on SGS product safety testing and certification (SGS NA Listed Mark) according UL and international standards, EMC (FCC), battery testing, and international type approvals. The manager will mentor, lead, and drive the sales staff to properly present all SGS services to prospect customers and meet assigned revenue targets. They are responsible for the attainment of team sales targets, and may in certain cases, be assigned their own sales targets in addition to sales management.

To achieve the above, Sales Managers must develop and communicate comprehensive sales strategies to their sales team, marketing, operations and technical teams.

• Leadership of a team that is responsible for generating and closing sales in accordance to SGS strategies and individual targets.
• Responsible for getting SGS labs approved by US customers for testing.
• Assigned and/or targeted customer channels will include clients in the specified industries within Electrical and Electronics.
• Responsible for communication and close cooperation with key internal customers and support teams, including client services, technical teams, and operations in the US and overseas.

JOB DUTIES

• Develop Sales Strategy
• Define and monitor KPIs and sales revenue targets for sales staff.
• Initiate and coordinate the development of action plans to penetrate new markets.
• Work closely with local marketing team to develop lead generation strategies.
• Responsible for annual review of accounts to determine which accounts remain with Sales for continued development and working with Customer Service.
• Conducts reviews with sales staff to ensure progress toward targets and KPIs, and to understand training and development needs. Such reviews will consider:

     ◦ Number of sales contacts/approaches
     ◦ Number of face-to-face meetings
     ◦ Number of proposals extended
     ◦ Value of proposals extended
• Responsible for recruitment and training of headcount to expand team.
• Assigns territories, accounts, and leads to appropriate sales representative. Ensures all appropriate follow-up to any specifically targeted or assigned account.
• Responsible for team adherence to requirements for usage of internal CRM tools.
• Assigns sales team leaders to trade shows or other marketing events.
• Responsible for team adherence to all aspects of published Sales Policy.
• Responsible for team adherence to Global Pricing Policy and local pricing policies.
• Ensures that tenders and other bids for services are prepared and provided to prospects or accounts within requirements and required timelines.
• Actively promotes collaboration with other business units within the SGS Group.
• Monitors competitive activity and pricing.
• Other tasks as assigned by management in support of business needs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in business/business management and/or engineering in a related technical field and/or minimum 10 years sales experience, preferably with a service provider in the TIC (Testing, Inspection, Certification) sector or a consulting firm in a related industry.
