EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

·                     A high school diploma is required. A bachelor’s degree or diploma in a science field with relevant lab classes or equivalent experience highly preferred

·                     Environmental laboratory experience a plus

·         Manual dexterity required. Must be able to perform some repetitive tasks with accuracy and precision

·         Computer Skills: The ability to use common software (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, LIMS) is required

·         Experience with LIMS an asset

·         Exhibits high levels of energy and enthusiasm

Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Associates degree in a science field with relevant lab classes or equivalent experience.
LANGUAGE/MATH/REASONING ABILITY
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of metric weight measurement, volume, and  distance.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but not involved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS
  • Basic personal computer skills.
