Jobs Summary:
In this role you will be responsible for all sales activities, from lead generation to contracting, within the assigned Southwest region. Developing partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and implementing business/marketing plans to increase customer base/market share are the core of this position. Additionally, you will be working with the sales and support teams to achieve customer satisfaction; revenue growth; profitability and long-term account goals.

Primary Responsibilities: 
  • Develop, maintain and qualify a database of qualified leads using SGS’s CRM system.
  • Sell and make recommendations to prospects and clients on the various solutions that SGS offers against their business needs.
  • Quoting in compliance with Certification and Accreditation Body requirements and/or product sector requirements.
  • Maximize all opportunities in the process of closing a sale resulting in the gain of market share from competitors.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, appointments/meetings, presentations, closed sales and follow-up activities within assigned territory and/or product sector.
  • Gather and submit detailed business specification information for pricing proposals.
  • Create and conduct effective proposal presentations and RFP responses that identify and address prospects business problems, and the effects of the problems.

 

 Education and Required Skills:

  • College degree preferred - areas of concentration in marketing or business
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a senior sales position
  • Previous experience as a sales person in the accreditation field/ISO sector a highly desirable asset 
  • Experience at selling “solutions” and/or service type products within a B2B environment at a high level within organizations
  • Ability to travel as job requires (e.g., regional, national, short notice, planned, etc.)
  • Fluent in English (i.e., written & oral), Bilingual in Spanish an asset but not required.
  • Technical selling skills & product knowledge in sector areas (e.g., Quality, Environmental, etc.).
