  • Understand the German market in order to develop the SAS business and build innovative programmes with clients.
  • Support sales and marketing activities through direct involvement in the sales process or through provision of technical or commercial support to SGS sales and key account management teams.
  • Be the global programme manager for the BSCI initiative and work with all countries to ensure that BSCI requirements are understood and met.
  • As a member of the global SAS team, collaborate with colleagues at global and local levels to ensure that a consistent approach is adopted throughout the SGS network. Support resolution of issues linked to SAS services.
  • Liaise with relevant external bodies to ensure that SGS is properly represented in discussions related to SAS activities.
  • Represent SGS at fairs and conferences.
  • Act as business development manager for Central and Eastern European countries. Work closely with these countries to understand their clients’ needs and collaborate with local management to develop the SAS business from a sales and execution perspective. Support the implementation of SAS procedures and resolution of operational issues.
  • Lead or contribute to specific global projects
  • University graduate or equivalent educational background.
  • Proven track record in developing and managing social compliance auditing and related services with extensive client interface.
·         Strong leadership and people management skills; able to develop good working relationships with people at all levels.
·         Strong communication and negotiation skills. Customer-oriented.
·         Knowledge of global supply chain for consumer products and social compliance codes and quality management systems.
·         Proven track record in sales and business development.
·         Well organised and efficient, with follow-through skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities. Analytical and problem-solving ability.
·         Fluent written and spoken German and English.
