At SGS we offer a range of independent monitoring services to improve performance under customs control or accelerating operations. Obtaining customs approval and co-operation on paper for cargo routes can be slow and complex, especially if there are third-parties involved. At SGS we understand the complexities of moving cargo in transit by road, rail and water, and we have designed TransitNet with these complexities in mind. Under supervision in Geneva, we operate the TransitNet service either directly or by appointed partners such as road transport operators’ associations or similar neutral organizations.

TransitNet Local Sales Officer



One for the German speaking Switzerland

One for the Italian speaking Switzerland

One for the French speaking Switzerland


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Sell the  TransitNet services on the Swiss market share by gaining new contracts with Clients
  • Develop the strategy to know the market, market competitors, identify the  key potential clients  and  get to the market
    • Identify sales opportunities for  (“e” clients and “non-e” clients),

    • understand their needs per type of clients such as but not limited to Transporters, brokers, forwarder, shipping agents,

    • Identify and understand shippers concerns per regions , per mode of transport , ports or inland  per any other appropriate category so as to drive the appropriate packaging of the service,  the fees to clients, etc 

  • Propose (ongoing) adaptation of the  Service (rules and functionalities ) to meet client’s needs by category
  • Coordinate the operational activities with the TransitNet team in the Back-office and in SGS Switzerland  
  • Defines and prepares proposals for clients and/or for tenders
  • Identifies, proposes and deals (when and if necessary) with consultants, subcontractors, Customs, partners or other business associates.
Specific Responsibilities
  • Share knowledge with the Product Manager and the other Client Centre affiliates
  • Proactively propose to improve the service and the platform
  • Lead the  sales ressources of the TransitNet Team and coordinate with the operation manager
  • Design and run the marketing strategy and campaign, participation to fair, conferences, intervention with sector medias
  • Implement  a methodology  with KPIs and  reporting to management


  • Proactive
  • Have minimum 10 years of experience in logistics and customs with professional qualification  (e.g. broker or forwarder) in Switzerland . At least five years in sales and promotions

  • Experience with various Swiss and neigboring countries logistics operators by any means of transport  road, rail and sea – container - 

  • Experience and good contacts  with Swiss customs

  • Proven knowledge of sector at national and international mainly intra larger Europe

  • Be market and sales oriented

  • Be global and local

Required Skills:

  • Extraverted

  • Very good knowledge of Swiss logistic sector (broker, forwarder, transporter) and customs organisation and procedures

  • Decisive, Assertive and Results Oriented

  • Fluent in English and two national languages (especially the language spoken in your set location) any additionl language is an asset.

  • Flexibility and availability, ability to work under pressure

  • Ability to work with a team that may be remote, good usage of communication tools

  • Readiness to travel within the country (drivng license)
